Chris serves as Associate Creative Director in AKQA’s New York office. He has Co-Lead client work for Google, Olympus Cameras. Originally from Calgary, Alberta Canada, he attended design school in Montreal, studying Graphic Design and Digital Multimedia. He’s spent the last 13 years crafting unique design and shaping strategic marketing platforms for some of the world’s most iconic brands including Google, Disney, Olympus, Morgans Hotel Group, Dell, Chanel Egoiste, M.A.C cosmetics, Bank of America, Best Buy and Anheuser-Busch. His diverse background of business strategy and design expertise began working on brand development and advertising with high profile clients such as Molson, The Calgary Flames, Concorde Group and Calgary Magazine. Eventually landing at global digital marketing agency Critical Mass gaining valuable experience creating global, 360 multi-channel marketing campaigns and large e-commerce websites, mobile, tablet and social media experiences. Chris later went on to spend four years in Austin, Texas, where he worked with digital agency Schematic. There he helped launch and lead creative for the company’s fourth U.S. location overseeing global digital creative for Dell Inc. There he created global marketing programs and designed online, mobile and multi-gesture touch interface work with various teams in Austin, New York and Los Angeles. In 2011 Chris Landed in New York and helped WPP agency POSSIBLE land and lead creative on accounts such as M.A.C cosmetics, Morgans Hotel Group, Bank of America, Dannon Oikos, Chanel Egoiste and HSN. The work he’s lead and conceived has been mentioned in Time Magazine Tech Online, Fast Company Magazine, The FWA, The Hockey News, USA today and Reuters. Chris is an active member of the American Institute of Graphic Designers (AIGA) and the Art Directors Club (ADC).
