Erica was born on a small patch of soil called Statesville, North Carolina. (Statesvegas, if you're local.)

At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she majored in anthropology. She was excavating a site in the Andes when she got altitude sickness and thought maybe she shouldn't be an anthropologist. So she stopped studying pre-Incan civilizations and focused on modern culture instead.

Currently, Erica is a Senior Copywriter at Droga5 New York where she works on Google. Prior to joining Droga5, Erica worked at The Barbarian Group where she created award winning work for Pepsi, Sauza, Samsung and Intel.

Erica was named one of advertising's rising stars by Mashable. She was named one of the Most Creative Women in Advertising by Business Insider. She would have been named Daisy by her parents but fortunately they changed their minds.
