Michihito Dobashi is based in Nagoya, a local city in Japan.

He started his career in advertising at Yamazaki Design Company. After working as a freelancer, he joined the Nagoya branch office of Dentsu, in 2008.

He works for both local and international clients like Makita, Subway, Aichi Prefecture, Toyota Home, Ronald McDonald House, Toho Gas, Copywriters Club Nagoya.

Born in Nagoya, the hub of Japanese manufacturing industries , Michihito believes that design should be functional instead of just being beautiful. His work for the ‘Mother Book’ best presents this belief. Michihito has been recognized internationally, and his awards won include the inaugural Lions Health Grand Prix, another Grand Prix for Design at Cannes Lions, plus other accolades from D&AD, One Show, Art Directors Club of New York, Clio, Design For Asia Award, and Adfest. He has also judged at Cannes, Adfest, and New York Festivals.
