While skipping lectures at Chelsea Art School one afternoon, Emma heard a radio programme about an advertising and copywriting course. She interviewed and won a place.

4 advertising agencies later, Emma’s brief dalliance with Direct and Digital resulted in a long standing love affair with those disciplines, as they offered the chance ‘to make work that makes people do things’.

Together with her partner Charlie Wilson, Emma has led many major new business wins at Ogilvy. The pair have also spearheaded a drive for better creative work in Direct and Digital generally with OgilvyOne London becoming the most awarded Direct agency in the world, winning 3 coveted Pencils at D&AD, a Cannes Lions Grand Prix and dozens of Gold awards at every major festival including One Show Campaign BIG, and the DMAs. She is a regular face on the international judging circuit and writes for industry publications.

With her wide ranging industry experience and award winning track record, Emma was recently promoted to Group Chief Creative Officer for Ogilvy and Mather UK. Her loves include old Beetles, new inventions and anything with Michael Caine in it. She is married with 2 boys and lives in central London.
