Jordan Levin, Founding Partner and CEO

Recognized for his deep understanding of young adult and family audiences, Jordan Levin has been instrumental in launching numerous entertainment franchises that have left a lasting impact on popular culture over the past two decades as a television network and studio executive, producer, director and new media entrepreneur.

In 2005, Levin partnered to create Generate, a next-generation media company producing targeted content for distribution across traditional and digital platforms. Generate's distinctive full-service studio, talent management and brand engagement divisions collectively develop innovative entertainment experiences that integrate the advertising, technology and entertainment communities. For its work producing directly for broadband, Generate has twice been named to the AlwaysOn OnHollywood 100 in 2008 and 2009 as a top private company in digital entertainment and media and was ranked among the top ten Web video creators by TV Week.

Prior, Levin spent a decade building The WB television network, culminating with his appointment as the youngest CEO in broadcast history. As part of the founding executive team, Levin rose through the programming ranks to become President, Entertainment by the time he was 33 and was instrumental in hit series such as "Dawson's Creek," "Gilmore Girls," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "7th Heaven," "Charmed," "Felicity," "Smallville," "Popular," "Angel," "The Jamie Foxx Show," "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch," "Sister, Sister," "The Steve Harvey Show," "Reba," "Popstars," "The Surreal Life," "One Tree Hill" and "Everwood," for which he also directed an episode. In addition to The WB, Levin oversaw Kid's WB! and established The WB's original movie division by launching the "American Girl" film franchise. Previously, he was a member of the creative team that revitalized the Disney brand in network television with hits like "Home Improvement," "Ellen," "Blossom" and "Boy Meets World." Mr. Levin's skill in programming responsible and meaningful entertainment has resulted in industry-wide recognition, including being named the 2004 Television Executive of the Year by The Caucus For Television Producers, Writers and Directors, as well as being honored by both the Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and Girls Inc. He was featured on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter's 2003 "Leadership in Hollywood" issue.

Having lent his expertise as a consultant to leading digital companies, Mr. Levin currently sits on numerous Boards including non-profit organizations, academic institutions, political advocacy groups and media companies. He has been honored by the Los Angeles Free Clinic, and is a current member of its Board of Directors, as well as HRTS, for which he was a past President, NATPE, the Austin Film Society and the University of Texas Film Institute.

Levin is also a published writer having contributed to, "Media Industries: History, Theory, and Method," published in 2009. A Dean's List and Cum Laude graduate with special honors from the University of Texas at Austin's Radio/Television/Film Program, Mr. Levin majored in television and film theory and criticism. His 1989 senior thesis, "The Role of the Networks within the Evolving Television Marketplace," laid a solid foundation for Mr. Levin's career by predicting the direction of the industry and calling for a more defined broadcast network. He was named the College's Alumnus of the Year in 2002 and was the University Alumni Organization's 2004 Outstanding Young Texas-Ex Award recipient.
