Johnny Vulcan

Anomaly

New York

Johnny is one of the founding architects of the company, responsible for innovation on the agency's own initiatives and intellectual property including 'Lauren Luke' and the national TV show 'Avec Eric', as well as stewarding innovation in communications for clients such as Umbro, Converse and P&G.

He has held several high-level and peculiarly diverse positions in both the UK and US. Before Anomaly, Johnny led new product development projects at Fahrenheit 212 where he helped evolve new markets and products for General Mills, Starbucks and P&G - his proudest moment being there at the birth of a new toilet paper... it's a very long story.

Prior to that, Johnny spent three years as the Chief Operating Officer of TBWA/Chiat/Day in New York before co-founding the Disruption Group for the company. As the group's joint Creative Director he led communications innovation work for MasterFoods, Absolut Vodka and the agency at large.

Johnny spends far too much time evangelizing the merits of flickr and far too little time working on the now dormant t-shirt brand he helped launch with his friend Doug. Once described as "the most controversial t-shirts in New York" they are featured in books on t-shirt culture, and profitably pirated throughout Asia.
