Tham Khai Meng

Ogilvy & Mather Asia/Pacific

Khai Meng is the Co-Chairman and the Executive Regional Creative Director for Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific. Starting his career in London, he has been in the ad business for twenty years joining Ogilvy & Mather in 1999. In 2005, Khai was elected to the Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide Board. Under Khai's leadership, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific has been awarded the most creative agency network in the region for four consecutive years. Khai was also elected the Number One Creative Director regionally for the past four years. He was listed in AdAge Global New York as the 100 most influential people in the communication business. Khai was recently named Regional Agency Head of the Year 2006, by Media magazine. Khai has won numerous Gold awards at the most prestigious international advertising award festivals including Cannes, The One Show, New York Clio, London International Awards and Asia Pacific Advertising Festival. He was the 2005 Chairman of the Jury at the New York Clio. He is the author of The Ugly Duckling - a cautionary tale of creativity, now translated into Korean, Japanese and Mandarin. Khai holds a BA (1st Class) from Central St Martin's, UK, and a MA (summa cum laude) in film and History of Art from the Royal College of Art, UK.
