As an advertising copywriter for ten years in New York, Dan worked on national consumer brands including Hershey’s, Jaguar, IBM, Verizon and Fosters Beer. He also created brand and tactical campaigns for B-to-B clients Ingersoll-Rand, Agfa, Dow Plastics, Altec Lansing and others. He has written brand positioning tag lines and advertising campaigns for Cereality Cereal Bar and Café, Fujifilm and Velociteach. Dan’s agency experience includes a Senior Copywriter position at Ogilvy and Associate Creative Director at Publicis, both in New York.

Since relocating to Atlanta, Dan has contributed to the branding of local and national clients as a freelance copywriter and consultant. Clients include The Ad Council, TBS, Maid Brigade, Emory University Hospital and InformationWeek magazine. He also wrote the 2002 Annual Report for Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

In addition to his work as a copywriter, Dan is an instructor and Chair of the Advertising Department at The Creative Circus, a two-year, accredited advertising graduate school. During Dan’s tenure, the school has maintained a 96+% placement rate and has garnered numerous local, national and international student awards.

Dan is the creator and host of the long-running, popular advertising podcast Don’t Get Me Started and occasional writer of his blog, The Headline-A-Day Page. He has been featured on National Public Radio, on ihaveanidea.org and in Paste Magazine, CMYK Magazine and various creative-industry web sites. He lives Sandy Springs, GA with his wife, Lisa (also a copywriter), daughter, Dori and son, Ellis.
