Kathleen Creighton is a photographer, graphic designer and Chair of the Communications Design department as well as an alumna of Pratt Institute.

Her commissioned photographic work has been created for the editorial, publishing and entertainment markets. Having recently completed her first book of photographs, The Synaptic Orchestra, she has curated a show of images from the book currently being exhibited. Her work is included in private collections both nationally and internationally.

Kathleen holds the titles of Professor and Chair of the Communications Design department at Pratt, a position she has held for 11.5 years. As Chair she has written and teaches many courses, among them classes within the disciplines included in the program, Advertising, Graphic Design and Illustration.

Over the course of her career, Kathleen has co-published as well as designed Advertising and promotion for RSVP, Directory of Illustration and Design as well as run Student Competitions sponsored by RSVP. A lifelong resident of Brooklyn, she is at work on another book of her photography, A Biography of the Wind.
