Dannell MacIlwraith has been working in web and interactive design for over 12 years. She loves making web presence both beautiful and usable, with attention to pixel-perfect detail and intuitive user-interface design. She has been teaching web design for 10-years. Currently teaching at Kutztown University, in southeastern Pennsylvania, Dannell's pedagogy is for students to be innovative about the web as an experience. Her intention is for students to create new designs out of mental associations that push against borders instead of filling in the blanks.

She has a BA in Digital Art, earned at Tyler School of Art, and a Masters in Art Education from Kutztown University. She is currently finishing her MFA in Graphic Design at Vermont College of Fine Art. Her clients have included Rodale Press, Hearst Group, and NACE. Dannell is active with the non-profit Healing Through The Arts, which places original artwork in hospitals and clinics around the Lehigh Valley. When not designing, she can be found walking with her adorable, pit bull named Syllis.
