Javier Arano was born in Buenos Aires, where he completed his undergraduate studies in Social Communication and Advertising and later worked as a copywriter. He received a Fulbright Scholarship to the MFA program in Media Arts at the City College of New York and then worked in ad agencies, TV, and film in New York, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, and the Galapagos Islands. Javier finally landed in Quito, Ecuador, where he started his own agency/production house focused on social campaigns. He is currently the director of the Advertising program in the College of Communications and Audiovisual Arts at Universidad de las Américas (UDLA) in Quito.
