Cover, layout and prepress for the Handbook of LGBT Psychotherapy.
The main purpose of this handbook is to provide appropriate literature for those psychotherapists and/or psychiatrists who already see the need to educate themselves in this field. Goal was to create a simple, minimal, yet striking cover and layout. Besides the main purpose, it was used as a basic text for training seminars for mental healthcare professionals and one of the demands was to use as little illustration as possible.
The big challenge was to create a visual that shows that after all we are all equal – but not the same, and all of that without using the rainbow flag as a most recognizable symbol of LGBT movement.
One of the challenges was limited printing options at the moment and making it look as good as possible with basic papers and binding.
