(New York, NY) The One Club, the world's foremost non-profit organization dedicated to elevating creative work in the advertising industry, will be hosting its Creative Boot Camp at Macaulay Honors College in Manhattan for the second year in a row. Students will attend the four-day workshop from Monday, January 24th through Thursday, January 27th, led by creative directors and designers from around the United States. Coming off the heels of a successful Boot Camp with students from Morehouse, Clark and Spelman in Atlanta, the program will introduce students of multicultural backgrounds to the art of creating advertising and design for clients from initial concepting through the final pitch. The event in New York is being co-sponsored by Publicis Worldwide in the USA and Deutsch.

"When we first launched the program in the U.S. last January, we were hoping to inspire a handful of young adults and introduce them to a world of creativity," said Mary Warlick, Chief Executive Officer of The One Club. "Instead, we have had an overwhelming response to the program. In just the past year, we have touched hundreds of students across the US with our Creative Boot Camp programming. When I hear their success stories, I am filled with pride and excitement to know that we may have had a small hand in helping to launch a new generation of creative leaders."

"The Creative Boot Camp blew me away! In four days, I got a crash course of the industry," said Chanie Kaminker, a 22-year-old Brooklyn College student and 2010 NYC Boot Camp participant. "I learned all these new terms, like portfolio, creative process, copywriters and art directors – things I might have vaguely recognized but didn't have a solid understanding of until now…. Looking back at the past year I can clearly see how I bring the things I've learned, the experience I had, and the people I've met at Boot Camp with me into each new experience. Now, I can see that Boot Camp never really ended, but continues to act as a springboard for all the great opportunities I have, and know will continue to come."

This year's workshops will be led by some of the industry's leading creative names from worlds of advertising and design – including executives from: BBDO New York; GlobalHue; Publicis Worldwide in the USA; Deutsch, Inc.; DraftFCB; Dentsu America; JWT and Ogilvy & Mather.

The program is open to all students attending schools in the CUNY network – for more information or to attend the workshop, students may contact education@oneclub.org and visit creativenyc.ning.com.
