NEW YORK (March 10, 2005) - Seven of the advertising industry's most acclaimed design professionals have been tapped to judge this year's One Show Design awards, an international competition that honors superior work in all facets of advertising design. Judging will take place in New York City on March 10 and 11.

"This year's design judges come to us with an amazing amount of experience, and from an eclectic group of companies," said Mary Warlick, Executive Director of The One Club for Art & Copy. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, The One Club produces the annual awards program, and is the nation's foremost non-profit organization for recognizing and promoting excellence in advertising.

The One Show Design competition, now in its fourth year, is one of three annual awards programs produced by The One Club. The One Show, One Show Design and One Show Interactive programs each culminate in awards ceremonies to be held on May 11, 2005 at Jazz at Lincoln Center, a new performance venue located in New York's City's Time Warner Center.

This year marks a record-breaking number of entries-an increase of 20 percent over last year-from agencies worldwide. Winners in all three awards programs will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils, considered a zenith of achievement within the advertising industry.

"Both the national and international design communities are beginning to look to The One Show for setting standards in design as well as advertising excellence," said Warlick. "Successful brands require a complete integration of design and communication in their campaigns."
