Newly-Created Positions to Reflect Expanding Responsibilities

New York, NY, December 4, 2006 – The One Club has announced the promotions of three of its top executives. Effective as of December 4, Executive Director Mary Warlick will be elevated to Chief Executive Officer of The One Club; Marketing and Interactive Director Kevin Swanepoel will be named President of The One Club and current One Club Board President David Baldwin will become Chairman of The One Club Board of Directors.

"We are excited by these promotions, which better reflect our continued US growth and expanding international role in educating the next generation of creatives about the rapidly-changing advertising world," said Warlick.

Warlick solidified The One Club's international influence by recruiting Swanepoel, whose newly-created position recognizes his significant role in expanding the non-profit organization's worldwide presence through the One Show Interactive, the One Show China Student Workshops and One Show print exhibits in Japan and South Africa.

Prior to joining The One Club, Swanepoel held the position of chief creative officer at two advertising agencies as well as being the founder of Creative & Strategic Advertising. He also spent two years at Apple Computer (1996 – 1997) where he was the Publishing Entertainment and New Media manager closely working with agencies.

As the new Chairman of The One Club Board of Directors, Baldwin will be taking on more of an expanded role chairing the judging week for the 2007 One Show. Before joining McKinney & Silver, he worked for some of the world's best creative agencies including Della Femina, Travisano & Partners, Hal Riney & Partners, Cole & Weber, Deutsch, and Leonard/Monahan. Baldwin has won hundreds of industry accolades, including 16 One Show Pencils, for his creative work on brands such as Audi, Dr. Martens, IKEA, Saturn, The Oregonian newspaper, The New York Mets, Polaroid, Bauer Inline Skates and Saranac Beer.

Since assuming the role of Executive Director in 1989, Warlick has shaped The One Club into an organization with global reach, created an education division and executive-produced The Alchemists, an upcoming documentary on legendary advertising Hall of Fame inductees.
