Bringing over eighteen years of interactive design experience to Firstborn, Joon is an inspiration and a mentor to the creative staff. Always full of big ideas, he contributes much of his energy to project conceptualization and overseeing the user experience and visual design teams inside Firstborn.

Joon began his Firstborn career as a Senior Art Director in 2004, was promoted to Creative Director in 2007 and was named Chief Creative Officer in 2010. Throughout these roles, he established Firstborn’s award-winning 3D department, and his talents have led to the successful production of high-profile projects, including Wrigley’s 5 Gum, Aflac, Sony, L’Oréal, UNIQLO and PepsiCo.

Growing up in both the US and South Korea, Joon found his creative calling at a young age. After honing his design and programming skills through self-home-schooling (and earning his high school diploma at age 16), he was able to circumvent South Korean military service by proving himself as one of the top coders in the country. He continues to channel that creative energy within and beyond Firstborn, constructing a treehouse for his kids inside his Manhattan apartment.
