Mara Lecocq leads Brand & Community at Fishbowl, the new social network for professionals of the same industry to have transparent career conversations. It is open to advertising, consulting, law, finance and teachers, with a mission to provide professionals with a safe space to level up in their careers semi-anonymously.

Mara is a former advertising creative director where she built her career in Paris, Toronto and New York for brands like Starbucks, Nike, and Verizon at agencies like AKQA, BETC Paris and 72andSunny.

Mara is also the co-founder of Where Are The Boss Ladies, the largest database of women executive leaders and community of women in advertising. Mara is also the founder of Secret Code, a customizable children’s book that stars *your* girl as a tech hero with a mission to bring more diversity in technology by making girls see themselves as engineers in their formative years.

Mara is a Cannes Lions “See It Be It” alum, was named a Next Creative Leader by the One Club and the 3% Conference, named one of Mashable’s Rising Stars in Advertising, won a grant from Sophia Amoruso’s Girlboss Foundation for Secret Code, and a spot at the accelerator program Project Entrepreneur from the Rent The Runway Foundation. Mara is a published co-author, speaker and is represented by the talent agency WME.
