My name is Willem Delventhal, and some people call me the Wizard of Joy. I am a game designer and business founder who specializes in early stage, games-adjacent products that make the world a better place. I am on an eternal quest to bring joy to the world. I work on many things. Currently I am a Senior Game Designer at Together Labs, where I am helping to shape a friendship-first metaverse. I also run my own venture called the Indie Game Academy, which is a gamified online school for game developers. I am consistently fascinated by the application of games in unusual circumstances. I've experimented with scientific games for cats, AR enabled board games, "Gamify Me" motivational workshops, and all sorts of other odds and ends.
