Born in the USA, a graduate of Hampshire College and the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Mr. Woodyear lived in Australia, Belgium, Côte d’Ivoire, Greece, Rwanda, and Sweden for more than 21 years. He worked for the International Federation of Journalists, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, the Department of Peace Operations, the Robert Kennedy Human Rights Foundation, Médecins Sans Frontières (Ellinika) and the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund. Today Mr. Woodyear oversees global communications for the United Nations Mine Action Service.
